Ramkumar is the Managing Director of GSR Environmental Consultancy Sdn Bhd with primary responsibility of managing environmental studies and environmental engineering projects. He graduated with Mechanical Engineering degree from University of Mysore, India.
Ram has specialised in Environmental Impact Assessment Studies, industrial process evaluation, process automation and controls, project management, solid waste management including incineration, air emission control and the design of air emission control systems. He has conducted surveys & tests, prepared national reports, feasibility Studies on a wide range of industries including Oil & Gas industries, recycling and disposal facilities and various manufacturing plants. He is registered with the Malaysian Department of Environment.
Ram has also been the team leader in the National survey for the recycling, waste composition and characteristics in Malaysia.
Ram has a wealth of experience and technical know-how after being involved in various managerial & executive positions in the designing, construction, installation, testing & commissioning of MSW plants both for the private & government sectors and rubber recycling facilities.

Hasmah Harun has more than 30 years experience in environmental management. She holds a Masters in Environmental Resources and a B.Sc (Hons) in Environmental Sciences from the University of Salford, U.K. Her expertise is in the field of environmental impact assessment and management plans. She has been involved in the preparation of feasibility studies, strategic and master plans as well as training and awareness programmes.
Since 1995, Hasmah has mainly been involved in the field of solid waste management and waste minimisation. She also conducts training programmes and is a guest lecturer for postgraduate studies at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Between 1995 and 2000, she worked at Alam Sekitar Malaysia Sdn Bhd (ASMA), Alam Flora Sdn Bhd and HICOM Environmental Sdn Bhd. Before joining the private sector, she served for over 17 years at the Department of Environment (DOE), Malaysia.
In March 2006, Hasmah Harun was a member of a team of Malaysian environmental consultants engaged by the PETRONAS Research and Scientific Services Sdn. Bhd. to undertake the preparation of an ‘Initial Environmental Assessment Report for Land Seismic Data Acquisition’ at Baysun Block, Republic of Uzbekistan.
Suntharalingam has more than 42 years of experience in geology and environmental consultancy especially in the area of environmental impact assessments (EIAs), environmental management plans (EMP) and Environmental Management Compliance Plan (EMCP). He holds a Masters in Science in Geology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and Bachelor of Science in Geology & Botany from University of Malaya, Malaysia.
Having attended numerous other tranings, Sunthralingam is also proficient in Seismic Stratigraphy and Correlation, Coastal Zone Management Studies, Offshore and Marine Geology, Site Investigations, Site Assessment & Remediation Measures and Mineral And Hydrocarbon Assessment Methods.
Before joining the private sector, he served for over 30 years at the Geological Survey Department, Malaysia. His final position he held in the Department was the Director of Geological Survey Department, Peninsular Malaysia
Alexander Jothy is a graduate of the University of Singapore with a B.Sc. in zoology and botany, as well as a B.Sc. (Hons.) in aquatic ecology, marine biology and marine fisheries. He has also received formal training in various fisheries specialist subject areas, including a Fellowship Certificate in Marine Fisheries and Marine Pollution from the Bundesforschungsanstalt fur Fischeri, Federal Republic of Germany.
Alexander Jothy’s has more than 40 years experience in the field of marine and freshwater fisheries and marine ecology. He previously served with the Malaysian Fisheries Department in the capacity of Senior Fisheries Research Officer, and subsequently as Chief of the Freshwater Fish Research Centre, Batu Berendam in Melaka, Malaysia.
During his tenure with the Malaysian Department of Fisheries, Alexander Jothy was also involved in studies, both in Germany and in Malaysia, on the effects of undersea explosions on marine fisheries. He is presently a consultant in environmental management, fisheries and aquaculture.
Mohammad Aman bin Samsurey is an environmental consultant with more than 18 years of experience in Environmental Impact Assessment Studies, Environmental Management Plans, Environmental Monitoring and Audits. He has also experience in multi-disciplinary studies as a team member and project coordinator, including baseline data collection, auditing, liaison with Government agencies, modelling (specifically on noise for EIA projects), report writing, project management, scheduling and cost estimates.
Dasaratha Murugasan Rao started his career as a Public Health Inspector in the Ministry of Health. After the Ministry of Health he joined the Department of Environment (DOE) as an Assistant Environmental Control Officer. After several years in the DOE he undertook a Degree in Social Science and joined the National Unity Board. As a Public Health Inspector and Assistant Environmental Control Officer, he has had the benefit of vast field related experience.
After his career in the government, he studied law and currently takes up cases under the environment law amongst other cases. He has over 40 years of working experience.
